About Silverdale

Silverdale first opened its doors in 1979. In the fall of 2016, we returned to a newly remodeled building! We are so grateful for the community support that made this happen.

We have several programs that support our students' academic growth. We currently have programs supporting the special needs population through Resource Room, District Level Programming (Self-Contained), and intervention services through LAP, ELL. We offer highly capable and gifted services through classroom extension activities.  Qualifying students may have additional program opportunities in our school district.

Silverdale has many opportunities for students to take an active part in our school community. Visit the Activities link above to look at the variety of options and encourage your child to join a group!

The staff at Silverdale Elementary have implemented a number of plans that proactively encourage student success. Students are explicitly taught the schoolwide expectations: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Ready to Learn. Staff recognize and reinforce students with Dolphin Dollars in demonstrating these characteristics. Problem solving steps are also taught to help students navigate the social world and resolve conflict, especially at recess. These strategies teach students responsibility and allow them to grow through their mistakes.

Partnerships with parents are important to us. Students are most successful when we take the “village” approach to education. Don’t be shy—get involved! We welcome the opportunity to partner with you.
