Science Ruled the Night

Stem Night Was Great!
Posted on 10/31/2019

We had a great time at Spooky Stem Night!  We had 600 people traveling through the stations. The kids learned to sink ships, pick up candy with robotic toys, build rockets and see a fantastic interactive geothermal sandbox!  We appreciate all the donations of candy and fun costumes of the students.  We are thankful for the partnership with:  PSNS, USS Turner Joy, Naval Undersea Museum and Puget Sound Navy Museum.  These groups provided amazing engineering and science activities.  We had several teachers who went above and beyond and we thank them for the donation of their time!  Mary Tanner and Rachel Oathout provided many organizational hours as well as time hosting the event. Thank you to these individuals:  The Oathout family, Avery family, Liz Goodwin, Karla Van Eycke, Cindy Ettobi, Hae Eun Su, Alisa Kahle, Camille Bauman, Robert Reynolds, Trish Horton, Ann Yurochak, Lisa Macht, Celinda Elvik.  See more pictures in the Photo Gallery!students with robotic toysStudents building tower with blocks
